My dog had a dental with Tarka and they were fab with him. I’ve signed up to their pet plan and it was so easy..

We can’t speak highly enough of this fabulous independent vet practice who gave excellent care to our elderly dog in the last months of her life. Marina and Freya are wise and kind and always made time to fully explain what was going on. The whole team are friendly and caring. Highly recommended!

After owning animals for over 25 years, I can honestly say this is the only veterinary practice that has shown such genuine kindness, compassion and gentleness.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a fantastic new veterinary practice! The whole team are so friendly and you can tell they genuinely care. Freya and Char are absolutely brilliant, warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They were unbelievably patient with my sassy cat, treating her with such kindness and making sure she felt safe and comfortable the whole time which was a refreshing approach.

I took my cat in as she lost her voice! The reception staff were really lovely when I called to book and also friendly and welcoming when I arrived. The vet actually explained everything, including the cost rather than leaving the reception staff to tell me! I was able to get some wormer for my other cats without having to have them seen! The vet was sweet to my kitty AND didn’t treat me like I know nothing, rather like sometimes who knows about their pet and is capable of treating them! I’m really pleased to have found this practice.

We have been using Tarka now since they opened. They are incredible, fitting us in, giving sound, practical but caring advice. They are independent too which means you don't feel like you are on a gravy train for a large organisation! Definitely time to swap if you are thinking about it.....

We had an emergency with our guinea pig which required on the day surgery. It was a gamble as we weren’t previously registered with them. However they scooped our baby up and went above and beyond. Fantastic staff, kind and nurturing to both humans and fur babies. To say I was an emotional state is an understatement and their calm presence made me feel at ease to know my fur baby was in the best hands. Caramels brother was invited in to be with his brother after surgery (with a packed lunch 🥹). Everything was so just so perfect in an imperfect situation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done.

Moved to Tarka Vets yesterday from another local Vets and can hand on heart say it was the best thing we did. Amazing staff! Had an appointment yesterday for an issue that our old vet had been treating unsuccessfully for a month and already the very next day after a fab appointment yesterday at Tarka our puppy is feeling SO much better. Tarka identified the issue straight away by taking swabs to supply the correct treatment. Very transparent with costs and very efficient with treating our pup. 100% recommend to anyone! Thank you.

I was so looking forward to having my cat registered at an independent vets and especially one with such an amazing team. I have already had to have my cat in several times for various investigations. She's spent some time in what I call their cat hotel, a really lovely and calm holding area and she has recieved the best care. Even though they have only been open two weeks they have been able to do everything and done so efficiently and professionally. it's so refreshing being able to see a price list and I have already noticed a difference. I cannot recommend this practise more highly. Thanks Tarka vets!
