Tarka Health plan

With our routine Health care you can either pay as you go or can join our health plan to split the cost over the year.

When you sign up to the plan you are agreeing to paying for 12 months or paying the difference if you wish to leave sooner.

Dogs (Puppy and adult dogs up to 9 years of age)*

Up to 20kg: £18 monthly
From 20 to 40kg: £20 monthly
Over 40kg: £22 monthly

Cats (Kittens and adult cats up to 9 years of age: £16/month)*

These plans include:

• First vaccination course in case of puppies and kittens

• Yearly booster (and kennel cough vaccine for dogs)

• Regular flea and wormer or the choice of parasite egg count/flea comb/tick remover

• Microchip

• 10% discount on routine neutering and non-complicated dentals

• One vet consultation yearly

• Six months health check with nurse

• Two nail clips or anal gland expression with nurse yearly

• One nurse consult yearly

Tarka Health Plan Senior

Dogs (over 9 years of age)*

Up to 20kg: £23 monthly
From 20 to 40kg: £25 monthly
Over 40kg: £27 monthly

Cats (over 9 years of age): £18/month*

These plans include:

• Standard health plan benefits (see above)

• Two urine analysis per year

• Two blood pressure measurements per year

• One Senior blood panel (including checking for anemia, kidney and liver health as standard and testing the thyroid if clinically indicated)

* : While we have set these as the standard ages if you have a older pet and wish to join on the normal health plan without additional screening then this is also permitted.

Equally if you have a younger pet who would benefit from the additional screening you can join them on the senior plan instead.

This might be the case with larger breed dogs who age quicker than their smaller companions.

Tarka Health Plan for Rabbits

£12 monthly

This plan includes:

• Yearly vaccinations

• Rearguard (fly strike prevention for warmer months)

• Microchipping

• 10% discount on neutering and teeth burring

• One vet consultations yearly

• One nurse consultation yearly

• Six month health check with nurse

• Two nails clip with nurse yearly
